Greco Japan `78 Spacey Sound TE500 Telecaster Thinline type
Great looking & playing Greco Japan Spacey Sounds Tele Thinline, aprox November 1978 production.
Given the mixed bag `70's Fenders can be, this makes a great no-risk vintage guitar at the about 1/3-1/4 the price of a "real" one.
Even though it's a '72 Thinline style, Greco wisely stuck with a 4 bolt neck plate & Kluson type tuners. Too bad CBS/Fender didn't stick with what actually worked....
The Greco take on the fabled Widerange Pickups are clear and powerful,a fitting tribute to the originals.
FWIW, I am old enough to remember when the original Fender Wide-range was the most hated pickup in the world & literally got thrown away when replaced in the '80s!
All electronics ,hardware etc are 100% untouched. In solid 8/10 condition, there is some minor player marks evident, but paint is intact with no major scars , chips or dings. Frets are at 90%, looks like they have been dressed sometime in the past . a little flaking seen on some hardware after nearly 50 years..
Comes with after-marker tweed case.
