Greco Japan '80 EG700 "Ace" type Les Paul Custom. A guitar for all Night creatures… And if you are going to play at night time, this is a serious “Nighttime” guitar. Well, not really a guitar that you would take to a lunchtime corporate gig ,is it? Yep, another set-neck Greco L.P. that just defines the quality this manufacturer was achieving in the height of the “Lawsuit” era. Everything is just so right, from the period perfect bound headstock with inlay & cherry-burst finish ,down to the inked on serial number on the back of the headstock. And the same period when the band that made this look famous were at the height of their powers as well. The look ,the sound and the playability
of ANY Gibson I have seen from this period for about 1/4 of the price
(without the back-breaking weight). Plenty of small scratches and
appropriate playing wear ,but, surprising little fret-wear. |
