The numbers on the pickups equate to OEM USA made units & you can clearly see the wiring is original & intact.
Neck date also falls right into the correct era for E series.
Typical thin soft C the early M.I.J. guitars are renowned for.
And, of course , it has spent some of it's previous life in the hands of some righty wanna-be, so there is a hole in the lower horn. Clearly shown in the pics, I'd fix it if I was going to keep the guitar, but it's in plain view here.
Hence, nut has been replaced, it was strung right-handed when I received it many many years ago.
