Product Description

Original Old-School Fulltone Tube Tape Echo in true bedroom-warrior condition.

I haven't played thru one of these for years & it's much quieter than I remember. No, not Strymon quiet, but not Watkins wall-of-noise either.

The sound is simply blissful. I personally own way more tape echos than is sensible (5 Rolands, 2 Elks, 2 Klempts in pieces, 1 Dynacord & maybe a Korg I can't find) & the controls on these just plain WORK & make sense compared to everything else I own or have used. The record level is just brilliant and once you saturate the tape it really does sound 201 times better than when you do the same thing on a Space Echo. It does go into saturation mode a little too easily, but just find your happy spot. Yes, the speed control is stiff as a board, but it's not really meant for adjustment on the fly. Again, find the right speed & fine tune to taste.
And,just as a stand-alone tube preamp, it's worth the price of admission IMO.

All the pots & switches work as they should, noise & crackle free.
It is the original tape cartridge & does have an occasional warble. I'd say it sat unused for years
